Aliaksandr Karankevich

I have got vast experience in the field of child and human rights protection while working for 14 years at youth and children’s NGOs in leadership positions, 15 years at UNICEF (Belarus) as Child Protection Specialist and 5,5 years as an independent international consultant in the field of child protection, domestic and gender-based violence, SEAH. My professional career has been largely revolving around human and specifically children’s, youth’s and women's rights monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

I have strong experience of communicating with diverse audiences including children, young people, adults, government representatives and a range of stakeholders. I have skills on primary and secondary data collection, desk review, political and social systems mapping, negotiating, holding meetings with government and civil society stakeholders, development of written materials targeting different audiences such as children and young people, adults and national and local government officials and civil society counterparts in a range of formats including research findings, reports and policy documents as well as professional training materials.

I have experience in organizing a range of events from a local seminar to an international conference. I have experience of the work in teams with different cultural and social backgrounds, and I am able to be a good contributor to the team’s work, can support and encourage my team members.

I have an ability to take on and complete multiple tasks whilst under pressure and I strive to get the point where we are achieving the goal within the established timeframe. 

I am also a good communicator with colleagues and counterparts and can play a role model and I will put the interests of the organisation above anything else
